How can I access the faecal waste collection (cesspit and septic tank cleaning) service?
- Visit the Public Health Section to obtain a payment voucher. Payment is made at Republic Bank. Fees are as follows:
- Cleaning – One (1) septic tank (4’ x 6’ x6’)—$180.00
- One (1) cesspit (two barrel height)—$140.00
- Upon submission of receipt, applicant will be advised with respect to service delivery date.
What are the lists of activities that must be done before the Cesspool Engineers arrive?
- Upon request of the driver, the householder must produce the receipt as proof of payment.
- Adequate access must be made available to the vacuum tanker in order that your septic tank/cesspit can be serviced. The tanker carries a one hundred and fifty feet (150') hose.
- The manhole cover of your septic tank must be unsealed before the tanker arrives at your premises. If your septic tank is sealed, the job will not be done.
- A sufficient supply of water (at least one (1) barrel) if you do not have a pipe borne supply must be provided for your tank/pit to be vacuumed.
- Your septic tank/cesspit will not be vacuumed if materials such as bottles, stones, rags, wood, newsprint etc., have been deposited in such.
- Be sure that you are satisfied with the service before signing the job sheet. If you are dissatisfied report the matter to the Corporation immediately.
- The job sheet must be signed by the owner or agent/servant present on completion of the service.

What are the procedures to register for a food badge?
- Collect medical examination form and payment voucher, at which time the applicant will be advised with respect to schedule for food handlers lectures.
- Medical forms must be completed by a medical doctor
- Payments are made to Republic Bank
- Cost of food badge is Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00)
- Attend food handlers’ lecture and submit application, completed medical form, receipt, and two passport photos after which the applicant will be advised with respect to the collection of the food badge.
What are the procedures for food premises registration?
- Applicant must submit completed food premises registration form.
- Food Inspector will inspect food premises, and the applicant will be advised with respect to the collection date for certificates.
