July 1 - The Ministry of Local Government launched its Vacation Employment

The Ministry of Local Government launched its Vacation Employment Programme on July 1, 2011 for University students. Forty nine (49) students participated in an Orientation session which took place at Ministry’s offices at Kent House. The students were addressed by Deputy Permanent Secretary Verna Johnson, Director of Human Resources Peter Osborne and Planning Officer Janice Nurse. The students have been assigned across the fourteen Municipal Corporations as well as at the Ministry for the duration of the programme.
